Game 4, 1974-75 Cup Finals replay with H. Bones

Game 4, Hockey Bones

PHI 0-0-0=0 BUF 3-2-0=5

Desjardins was back in net for Buffalo, and Parent was back in net for the Flyers, seemingly fine from his game one injury.

However the first shot of the game by Rick Martin beat him, and the Sabres had scored first in every game of the series. Gilbert Perreault would connect for two in that first period giving the Sabres a 3-0 lead and proving that Parent wasn't ready. Shots were 10-10, however the in range shots favored the Sabres by a whopping 5-1.

The Flyers would only get 3 shots in range all game long.

Stephenson came out to start the 2nd period for the Flyers, and he would face 14 shots with 4 in range. Spencer and defenseman Bill Hajt each scored, and Buffalo was cruising 5-0. The news was even worse for the Flyers are Reggie Leach got hurt and didn't return.

The third was a lackluster period, with both teams just wanting the game to end. Philly outshot Buffalo 12-5, and neither team had a shot in range in that scoreless period. Desjardins was back in net for Buffalo picking up the shutout.

Philly was 0-3 on the PP and Buffalo 0-2. PHI shots 10-8-12=30 BUF shots 10-14-5=29. Parent made 7 saves on 10 shots, Stephenson 17 save on 19 shots. Desjardins stopped all 30 Flyer shots.

The series is now tied at 2-2 with the home team winning every game.
