Bruins 92-93 season replay, SJ game 4

Game 4 Bruins @ San Jose

BOS 4-1-3=8 SJS 2-1-2=5

The Bruins started their west coast road trip with a game against the relatively new Sharks team.

After Oates put Boston up just 2 minutes in, former Bruin John Carter struck for back to back goals on back to back rolls for his new Sharks team. The Bruins though would put up 4 goals in that first period and take a 4-2 lead to first intermission.

Each team scored one in the 2nd as the visitors led 5-3. Just 3 seconds into the 3rd Ozolinsh scored to cut the Bruins lead to 4-3. He went on to have a 2 goal and 3 assist game for the Sharks. His 2nd came later in the final period, but by that time Heinze had scored a pair for Boston and the game was pretty much out of reach.

4th liner Banks scored the final goal of the game with 3:23 left to put the final Boston nail in the San Jose coffin.

A big game by Carter and Ozolinsh went for naught as San Jose left Hayward out to dry. Oates finished with a goal and 3 assists, Ruzicka, Murphy, Leach, and Juneau all had 2 helpers.
